Obesity
Obesity is the condition of having an excessive amount of body fat for one's height, usually determined when the body mass index (BMI) is 30 or more.
Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common form of arthritis. OA involves the wearing away of the cartilage that cushions the bones between joints and helps the joint move smoothly and easily.
Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is a bone disease characterized by a gradual softening of the bones making them more fragile. It is caused by the gradual loss of the mineral calcium, which helps strengthen the bones.
Overweight
Overweight is defined as having a body mass index (BMI) of 25 to 29.9. Body weight comes from fat, muscle, bone, and body water. It is important to remember that although BMI correlates with the amount of body fat, BMI does not directly measure body fat. As a result, some people, such as athletes, may have a BMI that identifies them as overweight even though they do not have excess body fat.
